  Unfortunately on the day that we visited it poured with rain all day but that did not ruin the experience.
  The house itself is very interesting with lots to see and do and helpful room hosts. The gardens, which are also very interesting are some distance from the house and in the rain it was not a particularly pleasant walk, but well worth it when we got there.
  Something which sets the house apart from many other NT properties is the 'hide' which is in the woods near the house. We were fortunately to see some red squirrels and a woodpecker feeding its young.
